21/08/09 - Reson 7101 delivered

We have now taken delivery of a new Reson 7101. This 240kHz multibeam system has many improvements over its predecessor the 8101. Features include:

  • 150° swath coverage providing up to 7.5x water depth swath coverage provides seamless coverage from 0.5 to 300m depth
  • High ping rate allows high speed operations without compromising data density
  • Compliant with IHO SP44 Ed 5 over entire depth range
  • Bathymetry, sidescan, snippets & water column data available over Gigabit Ethernet
  • Realtime roll stabilisation maximizes usable swath width
  • Up to 511 equi-distant beams provide extremely high sounding density over the entire swath

21/08/08 - Deep Water Echosounder & Sub Bottom Profiler

Knudsen 3260

This is a new dual frequency deep water "chirped" echosounder and sub bottom profiler that can be used with existing hull mounted arrays.

The Chirp 3200 family of scientific echosounders sets a new standard in high performance deep water sub-bottom profilers. Based on the latest generation floating point digital signal processors from industry leader Texas Instruments, the Chirp 3200 systems provide leading edge solutions for today and into the future.

The Chirp 3260 system has been ordered with a 10kW 3.5kHz low frequency channel and 2kW 12kHz "high" frequency channel.

  • Convenient USB interface to Windows PC and SounderSuite.

  • Full-spectrum chirp and correlation processing on all channels.

21/08/08 - AWACs 1MHZ & 600kHz - Additional stock

Nortek AWACs

GSE Rentals has placed an order for a further two 600kHz & two 1MHz AWAC's. This will double our available stock of these sought after wave and current profilers.

In addition to this we have also placed an order for gimballed sea bed mounting frames.
