We have had both Klein 3900 systems delivered. On the very first project one of our senior engineers obtained the above image of a diver on a shot line. Very impressive! 16/04/08 - Nortek 600kHz current profiler Nortek Vessel Mounted Current Profiler For 2008 the 600 kHz AWAC VM-CP option is provided free of charge. The Nortek 600kHz VM-CP utilises existing AWAC hardware to provide a cost effective vessel mounted current profiling system. The VM-CP works by measuring currents below the hull, relative to the ship. It determines the vessel motion using "bottom tracking" or the ship's navigation systems, removes this motion from the current measurements, and obtains the current velocity relative to the earth coordinate system. Modern navigation systems are accurate enough to make this possible, and modern NMEA interface standards make it easy.

Featuring Valeport's unique acclaimed "time of flight" SV sensor, the miniSVP is available in either 500m rated acetal or 6000m rated titanium versions. A single C cell and large Flash memory allow hundreds of profiles to be recorded, and the pre-programmed profiling patterns allow it to be setup and deployed quickly and easily.
23/01/08 - New Klein 3900 Dual High Frequency Sidescan Systems 455 & 900kHz High Resolution Sonar
GSE Rentals Ltd have placed an order with L3 Klein for two new Klein 3900 Search and Recovery Systems. The new System 3900 presents the latest technology in digital side scan sonar imaging. This advanced search and recovery system marries the new L-3 Klein ultra high resolution 900kHz sonar with the longer range high resolution 445 kHz to give you the perfect search and recovery system for real world tasks. With a spashproof DC powered TPU with wireless LAN this system has been designed for quick deployment in all kinds of weather and working conditions. In addition to the System 3900's we have also purchased further 3210 towfish to increase our stock levels for 2008.
03/12/07 - Geoacoustic GeoSwath New Upgraded Hardware
GSE Rentals have placed an order with GeoAcoustics to replace our existing GeoSwath + Processors with completely new units. The first unit has already been delivered and during testing it was found to have superior data handling properties and also a reduction in noise levels compared to the older units. The increase in processing power has improved the ping repetition rate leading to an increase in data density. The lower noise levels will also reduce the amount of data cleaning required during post processing.
