The Edgetech 4200-FS side scan sonar provides the user with a choice of either High Definition Mode (HDM) or High Speed Mode (HSM). When HDM is selected the user collects simultaneous dual frequency data. In HSM the towfish operates with multiple pulses in the water for either selected frequency.
The rental system comprises of 4200-FS towfish, a 701-DL Towfish interface unit and an optional Workstation running Edgetech Discover(TM) Software. The Towfish are fully instrumented with depth, heading, roll and pitch sensors. In addition GSE Rentals have specified optional magnetometer interfaces to allow trouble free integration of Marine Magnetics Explorer Magnetometers. This combined system has been proven to produce extremely high quality sidescan and magnetometer data using a single coaxial towcable.
