The PAR Quantum SKP 215 sensors are traditionally used in plant growth studies, to count the number of quanta falling between 400 and 700nm. The number of quanta is related to plant sugar production and photosynthesis and is measured in µmol/m²/sec.

The rental system comprises of two light sensors, a leveling frame for underwater deployment, and a surface readout display.
