The 600kHz RDI Workhorse Sentinel is an innovative and powerful way to measure waves and currents at once. The unit can measure a complete frequency-direction wave spectrum and can operate in shallow and deep waters. As an alternative to a directional wave buoy, the RDI Wave Gauge can distinguish waves from multiple directions and operate with less risk of loss or damage. The ability to measure velocity profiles, water level and wave frequency-direction spectra at once offers extreme flexibility and value for money.
High efficiency, high resolution and the ability to store a large data volume give the Workhorse versatility to observe a wide range of motions in a variety of different applications. The sentinel's exceptionally small size and robust, energy efficient operation are ideal for autonomous data collection in rivers, channels, harbours, inland and near shore waters and boundary layers. The Wave Gauge can be used as a standard 600kHz Sentinel current profiler in depths of up to 200m.
The unit comes complete with a pressure transducer and the bottom tracking option to permit mounting onto a vessel for dynamic current profiling.
All neccessary accessories and Windows-based software for planning, deployment, recovery and data display are supplied. Anti-trawl seabed mounting frames are also available.
